Governor of the Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE), Khaled Mohamed Balama, participated in the 48th regular session of the Council of Arab Central Banks and Monetary Authorities' Governors, held in Cairo under the patronage of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, and attended by Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly.

The meetings covered a range of priority economic topics, most notably the management of monetary policy amid a challenging and uncertain environment, and the impact of private sector debt on financial stability in Arab countries.

Discussions also addressed the role of central banks in addressing climate change issues and regulatory frameworks for artificial intelligence applications in the financial sector.
