The Watch and Jewellery Middle East Show (WJMES) is in its third day at Expo Centre Sharjah, providing visitors with a unique shopping experience at one of the largest regional jewellery trade exhibitions.
The exhibition, which will continue until September 29, showcases a collection of the most exquisite and intricately crafted jewellery creations and gold pieces inspired by the Emirati heritage, complemented by international and local designs, along with exclusive and high-end jewellery and diamond pieces.
The 54th edition of the Watch and Jewellery Middle East Show features a display of the “Meriet Al-Mustaqbal", the largest gold jewellery set in the world, crafted from approximately 5 kilogrammes of 21-karat gold and valued at Dh 2.5 million. Inspired by Emirati heritage, the piece pays homage to Dubai’s architectural marvel “Museum of the Future”.
Among the highlights of the show is world's longest "Mertasha," measuring 220 cm and priced at over Dh2.3 million. Both masterpieces were manufactured in specialised factories in Sharjah and presented by Dahab Jewellery.
The exhibition has also introduced a variety of exclusive, limited-edition pieces of exquisite jewelry and gold creations designed specifically for the 54th edition. These include a collection of natural diamonds by Fortuna Diamond, and a Mosaic collection featuring gold, diamonds and gemstones, making its debut at the exhibition by Jawhara Jewellery.
Additionally, traditional gold items are showcased, including the “Burqa” available in multiple sizes, crafted from white, yellow, and rose gold and embellished with natural diamonds.
Attended by more than 900 exhibitors representing major international companies and brands, the show continues to dazzle patrons and visitors with displays by extensive line-ups of master jewellers, designers, and gold retailers worldwide.
Visitors also have the chance to take part in a jewellery competition and win valuable prizes including one kilogramme of gold along with an assortment of jewellery and diamond pieces.
