TRENDS Research and Advisory is participating in the 2024 Riyadh International Book Fair, showcasing over 270 scientific and knowledge-disseminating publications across various research and intellectual fields. This marks the Centre’s fourth consecutive participation in the Book Fair, organised by the Literature, Publishing, and Translation Commission, from September 26 to October 5 at King Saud University in Riyadh.

This year’s edition of the Book Fair features more than 2,000 publishing houses and intellectual institutions from over 30 countries, distributed across 800 stands. The event also hosts a prominent selection of thinkers, researchers, experts and writers from various countries, further cementing its reputation as one of the most important cultural and intellectual platforms in the Arab world.

Supporting Culture and Knowledge

Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS Research and Advisory, said that TRENDS’ participation in the Riyadh International Book Fair for the fourth consecutive year emphasizes the importance of this event in fostering culture and supporting knowledge at both regional and international levels. He highlighted TRENDS’ commitment to regular participation in such cultural gatherings due to their constructive role in promoting dialogue and bridging diverse perspectives, bringing together various cultures and peoples under one roof.

Dr. Al-Ali noted that through its participation in the Riyadh Book Fair, TRENDS aims to reinforce its role as a knowledge bridge connecting nations and a beacon for purposeful research and sustainable knowledge. The Centre also seeks to raise public awareness of the importance of scientific research and specialized studies by consistently engaging in global book fairs.

Consulting and Training Services 

TRENDS’ CEO explained that the Riyadh International Book Fair contributes to enhancing direct communication channels between TRENDS and various segments of the public, allowing visitors to TRENDS’ pavilion to gain a closer understanding of the Centre’s research work and its specialised consulting and training services. He sees the participation as a key step in strengthening the role of academics, researchers and intellectuals in advancing sustainable development efforts.

Promoting Cultural Dialogue

Rawda Al-Marzouqi, Director of Distribution and Exhibitions Department at TRENDS, said that the Centre’s fourth participation in the Riyadh International Book Fair constitutes a valuable opportunity to continue promoting cultural dialogue and disseminating knowledge, contributing to communities with purposeful scientific and intellectual perspectives.

Al-Marzouqi mentioned that TRENDS’ presence at this annual cultural event includes a unique and diverse pavilion (C-78), featuring more than 270 scientific and research publications across various fields. These include original and translated books, strategic research, and studies on economics, technology, politics, and the environment, among others.
