The Fourth Abu Dhabi Neurology Conference reviewed the latest treatments and medicines in the treatment of migraines or severe migraines, which make a real difference to patients and relieve their pain, in addition to the latest developments in neurology from diagnosis, care and modern medicines to enhance the health care service provided to patients.

Organised by the Emirates Neurology Society under the patronage of Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA), a subsidiary of PureHealth, the largest healthcare group in the Middle East, and the United Arab Emirates University, the conference, which kicked off on Friday, and will continue for 3 days, will be attended by experts, doctors, nurses, researchers and specialists in the field of neurology from inside and outside the UAE.

Dr. Naji Riachi, Consultant Neurologist at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City S(SMC) and Chairman of the conference, said that the fourth edition of the conference aims to discuss and share the latest developments and research results in the field of neuroscience through workshops that include presentations, lectures and discussions on various neurological conditions, modern diagnostic techniques, treatment methods and emerging trends in neurology.

He added that the participants during the first day of the conference discussed neurological eye disorders, identifying and diagnosing diseases and abnormalities that clarify neurological disorders, and identifying types of abnormalities to understand those neurological and motor disorders of the eye, in addition to important discussions on retinal diseases, to reach the appropriate and correct diagnosis and then determine the appropriate treatment mechanism to treat these diseases directly.

On the new treatments in neurology, the president of the conference explained that the participants, including doctors and researchers, reviewed several types of modern treatments for migraine or acute migraine and the latest findings of modern treatments and medicines, most notably the first and only nasal spray treatment that contains CGRP receptor antagonists, and ACGRP intravenous treatment is a new type of treatment used to prevent and treat migraine pain and alleviate patients' pain, which makes a real difference to patients and relieve pain for them, and the sessions also discussed the effects of The new multisite electrical stimulation device on motor symptoms and pain for patients.

He pointed out that the sessions and workshops during the second day of the conference will discuss many diseases and modern treatments associated with them, including multiple sclerosis, headaches, movement diseases, epilepsy, the nervous system and other various topics related to neurology.

The 4th Abu Dhabi Neurology Conference brings together leading experts, researchers and professionals in the field of neurology to discuss the latest information about brain diseases, as well as a platform for exchanging knowledge, collaborating and disseminating recent developments in neurodiagnosis, treatment and research, and the weight of the participants' knowledge from doctors, specialists in the departments of neurology and emergency medicine and medical students.
