A memorandum of cooperation was signed between TRENDS Research and Advisory and the University of Khorfakkan aimed at enhancing research and academic partnership in the development of research, studies and innovation. This collaboration will support the implementation of joint knowledge-disseminating projects across various fields, contributing to the provision of accurate and practical solutions to contemporary challenges.
The memorandum, signed by Prof. Ali Hilal Alnaqbi, Chancellor of the University Khorfakkan, and Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS Research and Advisory, aims to exchange experts and researchers to benefit from their knowledge and to organise joint scientific and research events such as seminars, discussions, workshops and lectures, as well as the exchange of scientific and knowledge publications.
The agreement lays the foundation for more active partnership between the two parties in scientific research and strategic studies, in addition to collaboration in producing joint scientific research and social, political, economic, futuristic and fields studies.
Academic and Research Excellence
Prof. Ali Hilal Alnaqbi, Chancellor of the University Khorfakkan, emphasised the importance of this constructive cooperation with TRENDS Research and Advisory, saying, “The signing of the memorandum of understanding reflects our commitment to academic and research excellence, as well as strengthens the knowledge links between academic circles and research centres. We are confident that the cooperation and partnership with TRENDS will contribute to supporting the quality of our research and providing successful solutions to the challenges faced by the scientific and research community”.
He pointed out that the memorandum is part of the University’s strategy aimed at enhancing the integration of roles between academic institutions and think tanks. He added that the memorandum seeks to exchange knowledge and expertise through the implementation of joint research projects and training courses that will open new horizons for students and researchers to participate in advanced research papers and develop their scientific and practical skills.
Prof. Alnaqbi noted that the collaboration with TRENDS includes implementing joint training programs and workshops targeting students and researchers from both sides, which will support and develop their skills in research, innovation and creativity. Additionally, the bilateral cooperation in publishing studies and research across various fields will provide new scientific and practical knowledge and experiences for academics and researchers.
Joint Knowledge Initiatives
For his part, Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS Research and Advisory, stated: “The signing of the memorandum of understanding and cooperation with the University of Khorfakkan is an important step towards enhancing academic and research cooperation and integration. The joint knowledge initiatives between the two sides will contribute to significant progress in scientific fields, in addition to enhancing both parties’ positions as leaders in research and innovation based on precise scientific principles.”
Al-Ali explained that the memorandum aligns with TRENDS’ strategy to expand its network of relations and partnerships with academic institutions and institutes.
The agreement also supports efforts to enhance integration between academic institutions and research centres. The cooperation aims to exchange knowledge and expertise and implement joint research projects that contribute to addressing contemporary social and economic issues. He added that this cooperation also offers new opportunities for students and researchers to participate in advanced studies and develop their academic, scientific and practical skills.
