Abu Dhabi Police (ADP) recently hosted a dialogue session at the Fourth Smart City Forum, organised by the American University of Emirates (AUE) in Dubai.

The slogan of the forum was "Fostering sustainable smart cities through innovation." 

Titled "The role of a safe city in achieving safety and security using artificial intelligence technologies for security prediction and crime prevention," the ADP's session highlighted the pivotal role of AI in bolstering the city's safety measures.

Director of Saif Bin Zayed Academy for Police and Security Sciences, Major General Thani Butti Al Shamsi, underscored the significance of integrating AI technologies to fortify Abu Dhabi's safe city system and leverage innovative solutions for enhanced security and traffic safety.

 

 


Deputy Director of the Virtual Training Centre at the Saif Bin Zayed Academy, Lieutenant-Colonel Dr. Shaima Talib Hussein, along with Captain Saud Abdel Aziz Khouri and Captain Ahmed Abdullah Al-Aryani from the Safe City Administration, delved into the discussion on the Applied Smart Traffic System, which serves as an Early Detection Centre and collaborates with the National Early Warning System to proactively address security concerns.

 

 


The panel also explored the future of smart cities, focusing on infrastructure challenges and innovative technological solutions tailored to global needs.
