SAEED AHMED (UMM AL QUWAIN)

To ensure road safety, the General Directorate of Police in Umm Al Quwain closed exits 93, 96, 110, 113, and 116 on Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Street due to rainwater accumulation.

Motorists are urged to exercise caution, reduce speed, and pay attention while driving on both internal and external roads.

Umm Al Quwain witnessed moderate to heavy rainfall, resulting in significant accumulation of water in internal streets and residential areas, along with a decrease in temperatures.

The Municipality of Umm Al Quwain dispatched more than 20 tankers and seven pumps in various areas of the emirate to drain rainwater and deployed field teams to handle the weather conditions.

They also implemented a pre-emptive emergency plan, and were fully prepared. The Municipality teams responded swiftly to mitigate the effects of weather fluctuations, in cooperation with relevant authorities in the emirate.
The Municipality urged the public  to follow instructions issued by authorities.
