His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, received His Excellency Lieutenant General Ivan Kubrakov, Minister of Internal Affairs of Belarus; His Excellency Nenad Nesic, Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina; His Excellency Lieutenant General Mohammed Abdullah Al Bassami, Director of Public Security in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; His Excellency Major General Dr. Abdullah Abdrabbo Al Maaytah, Director of Public Security of Jordan; His Excellency Major General Demelash Michael, Commissioner General of the Ethiopian Federal Police; His Excellency Zivko Kotsif, Secretary-General and Senior Commissioner of the Ministry of Interior in Bulgaria; and His Excellency General Felix Namuhoranye, Commissioner General of Rwanda National Police; along with police leaders from 65 countries, on the sidelines of the World Police Summit 2024.

During the high-profile meeting, Al Marri welcomed the police leaders and their accompanying delegation to the World Police Summit, emphasising Dubai Police's keenness to enhance cooperation with law enforcement and crime fighting in all its forms, especially transnational organised crime.

He pointed out regular meetings with police leaders at such summits foster constructive communication in crime fighting.

“The World Police Summit creates opportunities for a better future, especially as it is the world's more prominent event in gathering the elite of police, security leaders, and global law enforcement agencies," he said.

"A large number of visitors attend the summit sessions since they tackle the most significant global challenges in crime fighting and ways to enhance security and safety in communities," he added.

The police leaders praised the level and progress of security and police work in Dubai Police and the UAE, as well as the global reputation of the UAE in security and safety. They thanked the Dubai Police General Command for the ongoing cooperation and coordination in various security fields, confirming that the World Police Summit enhances communication between law enforcement institutions and strengthens diplomatic relations.

After the meeting, Al Marri, accompanied by police leaders and the delegation, went on a guided tour of the Dubai Police stand, designed to resemble the Smart Police Station (SPS), where they were briefed on the SPS and the police services it provides to all community members, without human intervention, 24 hours a day. The services include criminal, traffic, and community services, and how to quickly and conveniently apply for permits without the need to go to traditional police stations.

At the end of the meeting, Al Marri and the police leaders exchanged commemorative shields.
