ABU DHABI (ALETIHAD)

Abu Dhabi Police (ADP) called on motorists to drive with caution and follow the changing speed limits displayed on electronic billboards. This came in light of the expected rainy weather conditions affecting the UAE, as reported by the National Center for Meteorology (NCM).

In a post on X, formerly Twitter, ADP wrote, “Drive carefully in volatile weather conditions for the safety of road users.”

The Traffic and Security Patrols Directorate called on drivers to avoid distractions on the road in light of the rain and weather fluctuations.

On Facebook, ADP stressed the need to adhere to traffic instructions and maintain a safe distance from other vehicles.

It also advised drivers not to hit the brakes suddenly and slow down when making turns to prevent the car from sliding.

In cases of compromised visibility, drivers are advised to park on the side of the road for everyone’s safety on the streets.

Lastly, ADP called on drivers to make sure their vehicle windows are clean and front lights on for clear visibility.
