The UAE Embassy in Tokyo has issued an advisory for Emiratis in Japan on Monday after a major earthquake shook the country during the New Year's day holiday.
In a statement issued on X (formerly known as Twitter), the Embassy called on all UAE citizens to exercise caution due to an earthquake in the Ishikawa prefecture, stressing the need to follow safety instructions issued by the Japanese authorities.
UAE nationals residing in Japan have been advised to contact the embassy in an emergency situation on 0097180024 or 0097180044444, and registering for the Twajudi service.
