Residents of Abu Dhabi woke up to a thick fog on Tuesday morning as yellow and red alerts were issued by The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).
On Monday night, NCM issued a weather alert urging motorists in the UAE to follow the traffic regulations regarding a chance of fog formation and deterioration in horizontal visibility, which may drop even further at times over some internal and coastal areas especially westward from 12:am until 10:00am today.
The country recorded its lowest temperature of 8.3°C on Tuesday morning in Al Ain's Raknah.

To ensure the safety of residents and motorists, Abu Dhabi Police reduced the speed limit to 80kmph on select roads across the emirate:
