Norwegian footballer Erling Haaland has shed his famous blond locks as he prepares to head into another Premier League campaign with Manchester City.
Haaland, who boasts a 76.6-million-strong Instagram following, posted an image of his new close-cropped look on his social media accounts, along with the comment: "New season, new trim.”
The 26-year-old posted another image on X showing the various stages of his haircut, which he captioned "New hair don’t care”.
Haaland was set to take to the field with his new look for the first time in his side’s top-flight opener at Bournemouth on Sunday.
During an interview with James Corden on Fox Sports in July, Haaland had revealed he had maintained his previous style on the advice of Zlatan Ibrahimović, another prolific long-haired Scandinavian striker.
Haaland told Corden: "Zlatan - you know what he told me? ‘Never cut your hair because the strength is in the hair.'”
