KUUMAR SHYAM (ABU DHABI)

A local activation by Manchester City in Abu Dhabi is giving the club's fans a virtual experience of a visit to the Etihad Stadium as if they were at the club's British home in real life this weekend at the Yas Mall.

A unique opportunity to experience Manchester City club's games through City Space in Xtadium, an immersive virtual reality (VR) destination, coincides with a busy weekend for the team's faithful when the women's team will be crowned champions in the Women Super League while the men compete in Saturday's FA Cup final.

Fans will be surrounded by the views, sounds and emotion of Manchester City's moments through immersive 180° VR content across the club's men's and women's teams at the City Challenge in the mall from 3pm UAE time.

Developed in collaboration with immersive technology leader YBVR, UAE fans will for the first time have access to the experience and explore and interact with a range of content.

Thanks to its advanced technology and 180° content offering, fans can look forward to a series of VR experiences, such as celebrating with Gianluigi Donnarumma after their 2-1 victory against Arsenal in the Premier League at the Etihad Stadium.

Fans can also immerse themselves in a virtual visit to the stadium on matchdays before kick-off, taking them on a journey through food stalls and the Blue Carpet experience as players arrive and are welcomed by fans with emotions and the atmosphere of matchday.

The space has been designed as an evolving platform, with new content to be added regularly across the season, ensuring fans continue to discover more memorable moments.
