ABU DHABI (ALETIHAD)
The second round of the UAE Formula 4 Powerboat Championship concluded at the Abu Dhabi Breakwater, following two days of intense races that saw wide participation from top competitors.
The event was organised by the Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club (ADMSC), with oversight from the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, the supervision of the UAE Marine Sports Federation, and the support and sponsorship of Sheikh Mohammed bin Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, President of the Federation and Chairman of the Club’s Board of Directors.
The UAE’s own Salem Al Yafei emerged victorious, the Emirati securing first place in his No.10 boat with 40 points. Sultan Saqr Al Falasi finished second in boat “Black Pharaoh 3” with 30 points, while Esmat Adel came in third in “Black Pharaoh 2” with 19 points.
Nasser Al Dhaheri, Director of Modern Sports Events at ADMSC, affirmed that the success of the round reflects Abu Dhabi’s leading position in hosting and organising marine championships according to the highest international standards.
The events concluded with an awards ceremony honouring the winners amidst a highly competitive atmosphere that reflected the strength of the championship and the enthusiasm of the participants.
