FRANKFURT (dpa)

Eintracht Frankfurt striker Omar Marmoush's move to Manchester City could be imminent, according to media reports on Friday.

The Bundesliga side have reached a verbal agreement with the English champions on the multi-million euro transfer, as reported by Sky, French broadcaster RMC and transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

There has been no official confirmation from the two clubs.
According to Sky, Frankfurt are letting the 25-year-old go for a fee of Euro 80 million ($82 million). The Egyptian still has a contract at Frankfurt until 2027 and is likely to be the second most expensive sale for the club after Randal Kolo Muani, who moved to Paris Saint-Germain for Euro 95 million in 2023.

Pep Guardiola's City, who have recently struggled on the field, have reportedly agreed a five-year contract with Marmoush.
The attacker is expected to fly to England soon to complete his medical check.

Frankfurt had said he would start the match with Borussia Dortmund later on Friday but that is now uncertain.

He has scored 15 Bundesliga goals this term for the third-placed side, who have made a habit of selling their main strikers while going well in recent years.
