ABU DHABI (ALETIHAD)

His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, and His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defence, have attended the Formula 1 World season finale, the 16th Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, alongside Their Highnesses, Sheikhs and state guests.

His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, accompanied by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, officially signaled the start of the race, marking the start of the Formula 1 season finale, after the UAE national anthem was played.

His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed extended a warm welcome to all guests and visitors attending this global event.

His Highness congratulated all participating drivers and motorsport enthusiasts worldwide on the successful conclusion of the championship and expressed his appreciation for the efforts of organisers and partners in delivering yet another successful edition of this international sporting event.

At the end of the race, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan presented the trophy to the 2024 Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix winner, Great Britain’s Lando Norris from McLaren. Norris’ victory secured the Constructors’ Championship title for McLaren. The race featured 20 drivers representing 10 elite racing teams.
