ABU DHABI (ALETIHAD)

The 16th edition of the Etihad Airways Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix marked the conclusion of Lewis Hamilton's illustrious 12-year career with the Mercedes team.

The British driver participated in 245 races with the team, securing 84 victories across Grand Prix and Sprint races.

The seven-time world champion announced his departure from Mercedes, confirming he will join rival team Ferrari for the 2025 season.

During his final season with Mercedes, Hamilton claimed victories at the British Grand Prix at Silverstone and the Belgian Grand Prix at Spa-Francorchamps, after teammate and fellow Briton George Russell, who had been leading, was disqualified.

Hamilton faced numerous challenges during qualifying sessions this season, which limited his opportunities to compete for podium finishes, leaving him to contend for top-ten positions.
