DUBAI (WAM)

The UAE national team is set to participate in the IBSF World Snooker Championships, which kicked off on Monday in the Qatari capital, Doha, and runs until November 9.

The event is organised by the International Billiards and Snooker Federation.

The UAE team includes three players: Ahmad Shehab and Mohammed Al Joaker who will compete in the qualifying stage among 64 participants from around the world. Additionally, Mohammed Shehab will join the tournament directly in the finals starting November 1, alongside 48 players who have secured direct entry.

Only 16 players will advance from the qualifying stage to join 32 pre-selected competitors assigned by the International Federation.
