Gold prices swung ​between gains and losses on Wednesday.

Spot gold rose 0.5 percent to $4,125.59 per ounce by 03:05 GMT, after earlier falling to its lowest level since July 2.

US gold futures for August delivery slipped 0.5 percent to $4,136.30.

Among other precious metals, spot silver rose 0.8 percent to $60.47 per ounce, platinum fell 0.3 percent to $1,635.45, while palladium declined 0.6 percent to $1,268.64.
