Jordan’s Minister of State for Public Sector Modernisation, Eng. Badria Al Balbisi, has emphasised the value of learning from the UAE’s pioneering government experience, highlighting deep-rooted cooperation and a shared commitment to advancing public sector performance.

Speaking to Aletihad during the World Governments Summit, Al Balbisi said “there is a lot to benefit from” the richness and diversity of the UAE government’s experience, “whether through implementation or deeper collaboration.”

She pointed to the UAE’s use of artificial intelligence in policies and legislation, noting its relevance to Jordan’s own AI-driven legislative initiatives, as Jordan has a similar project that was launched within its executive programme and has already begun implementation.

“This creates an opportunity to benefit from the UAE’s experience so that we do not repeat the same mistakes and can speed up implementation,” Al Balbisi said.

On government administration, she said that cooperation between Jordan and the UAE began in 2019 through a comprehensive strategic partnership on government modernisation and public sector development.

“The agreement resulted in many initiatives being implemented in Jordan, alongside the exchange of expertise between both sides,” Al Balbisi added.

She expressed her hope to expand this area of cooperation between the two countries in order to benefit from the wide range of experiences
