An aircraft with more than 170 people on board overshot an airport runway in Norway and came to a halt just a few metres from the sea.
As the Norwegian airlines plane landed in Molde in western Norway, a strong gust of wind caused it to skid on the slippery runway, a company spokeswoman told the news agency NTB on Friday.
The state accident commission said that the aircraft had entered a snow shower at low altitude during landing on Thursday evening. After touching down, the pilot found that that the runway was slippery and its was difficult to bring the aircraft to a halt.

There were 165 passengers and six crew members on board the aircraft, which had flown from Oslo.
According to the police, everyone was able to leave the plane safely.
No one was injured in the incident, but many people were said to be deeply upset.
The municipality of Molde set up a crisis team to take care of those affected.
Molde is located about 400 kilometres north-west of Oslo. The small town's airport is located near the shore of the Molde fjord.
