SARAJEVO (WAM)

The death toll from floods and landslides in Bosnia and Herzegovina has risen to over 18, with many people still missing.

According to local media, a Mostar police spokesperson said that the mountainous area around 30 kilometres north of Mostar, in the country's south, has been hit the hardest.

Heavy rainfall caused several rivers in the area to overflow their banks.

Additionally, a landslide in the town of Jablanica has damaged numerous homes, leaving the town completely isolated.
