Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump wants to make another appearance at the site where he was shot in a failed assassination attempt in July.
Trump's campaign team announced a rally for October 5 on the the same site near Butler, in the state of Pennsylvania, where the former president was shot on July 13.
Thomas Matthew Crooks was able to climb to an elevated position with an assault rifle and fire a number of shots at Trump at the rally, with a bullet grazing the former US president's right ear.
One audience member died and two other spectators were badly injured in the assassination attempt. Crooks was shot dead.
The presidential candidate wants to commemorate the victims, his campaign said. He also wants to thank the security and emergency services for their efforts.
Trump is seeking to return to the White House, after leaving it in 2021, by defeating US Vice President Kamala Harris in the November 5 presidential election.
