Movahedi Kermani appointed as President of Assembly of Experts in Iran

Ayatollah Movahedi Kermani has been elected President of the Assembly of Experts for Leadership, Iran's Mehr News Agency reported.

The announcement was made during the sixth session of the Assembly of Experts, which commenced on Tuesday morning and saw the participation of prominent political and military figures.

The Assembly of Experts, also known as the Assembly of Experts for the Leadership or the Council of Experts, is a legislative body responsible for appointing Iran’s Supreme Leader and supervising his activities.
