ABU DHABI (ALETIHAD)
Abu Dhabi Royal Equestrian Arts (ADREA) will celebrate its first anniversary with a month-long programme of performances, cultural experiences, and equestrian activations, opening with a special anniversary gala on 31 October and continuing throughout November.
Marking one year since ADREA opened its doors on Jubail Island, the anniversary will bring together horses, riders, artists, and people who have shaped its first year, while inviting audiences to experience classical horsemanship through a programme created specially for the occasion.
The anniversary is presented under the theme ONE YEAR HOME: THE ANNIVERSARY GALA PERFORMANCE, reflecting ADREA’s first year in Abu Dhabi and the home it has created for centuries of equestrian art.
The celebrations will open with ONE YEAR HOME: THE ANNIVERSARY GALA PERFORMANCE, bringing classical horsemanship together with music and live performance, including a performance by Emirati opera singer Fatima Alhashmi, in a special evening celebrating ADREA’s first year and the beginning of its next chapter.
Throughout November, ADREA will host a programme of performances, workshops, special experiences, and equestrian activations, giving visitors new ways to discover classical horsemanship and the knowledge, craftsmanship, and culture.
Since opening, ADREA has established Abu Dhabi as home to the fifth school of classical horsemanship in the world and the first outside Europe, creating a place dedicated to preserving, teaching, and advancing an equestrian tradition shaped over centuries.
The anniversary marks both the completion of ADREA’s first year and the beginning of its next, as it continues to develop classical horsemanship in Abu Dhabi through training, education, performance, and cultural programming.
