There’s good news for art aficionados with the Guggenheim Abu Dhabi museum in the capital’s Saadiyat Cultural District launching ticket sales that start at Dh70 for adults.
The museum will open its doors to the public from December 11, according to an earlier announcement.
Children under 12 who are accompanied by an adult will be granted free entry.
Entry will also be free for seniors over 60, and for students from UAE universities who possess an ID which must be presented at the ticketing counter at the museum before their visit.
Teachers and professors can avail of discounted tickets at Dh35 that can be purchased at the ticketing desk on the day of the visit.
Fazaa members can collect their tickets for Dh50 at the counter by showing proof of membership.
There’s also a discount for Homat Al Watan and UAE Military personnel, who will have to pay Dh35 at the counter upon presenting their IDs.
This modern and contemporary museum will showcase artworks from the 1960s and bring diverse artistic perspectives and narratives from around the world.
It was designed by the late Pritzker Prize-winning architect Frank Gehry.
The museum aims to connect audiences with artists and ideas through its collections, exhibitions, and programmes.
