ABU DHABI (ALETIHAD)

Electronic duo The Chainsmokers and rockers The Script have been announced as the closing acts for the Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2026, taking to the Etihad Live stage on Sunday, December 6, following the chequered flag.

The latest additions join a Yasalam presented by e& entertainment programme featuring an all-star line-up of Lewis Capaldi and Zara Larsson, performing on Thursday, December 3, and Imagine Dragons, performing on Saturday, December 5, with more global artists to be announced soon.

David Powell, Chief Portfolio & Strategy Officer at Ethara Live, said: “There is nothing quite like Sunday at the Yasalam After-Race Concerts. The excitement of the final race carries straight into Etihad Live, where thousands of fans come together for the F1 season finale celebration.

“The Chainsmokers have brought their incredible energy to stages across the globe including the main stage at Tomorrowland earlier this year, whilst The Script will bring their signature catalogue of songs which have sold out international arenas such as Co-op Live in Manchester and The O2 in London as part of their world tour. Together, they give fans two completely different live experiences and a brilliant finale to race week in Abu Dhabi.”

Grammy Award-winning The Chainsmokers, an US duo made up of Alex Pall and Drew Taggart, have built a catalogue of hits spanning pop, indie, electronic, alternative and rock, including “Don’t Let Me Down”, “Paris”, “Something Just Like This” and “Closer”.

The Script are a multi-platinum, chart-topping Irish band behind global hits including “Hall of Fame”, “Breakeven” and “The Man Who Can’t Be Moved”, who will bring their emotionally charged songwriting and powerful live performances to the UAE capital.

Their newly-released album “The User’s Guide To Being Human” marks the next chapter in the band’s story in a career spanning almost two decades, building a devoted international following.
