ABU DHABI (ALETIHAD)

The Cultural Foundation is presenting Italian Film Week, from June 26 to 28, presenting a curated programme of contemporary Italian cinema, in collaboration with the Istituto Italiano di Cultura di Abu Dhabi.

The selection highlights recent Italian productions that reflect the country’s rich storytelling tradition and evolving cinematic voice.

Through compelling narratives and diverse perspectives, the festival offers audiences an engaging exploration of culture, identity and modern Italian society, is so doing promoting cultural dialogue between Italy and the UAE.

The screening programme includes:
L’amore che ho (June 26)
This musical drama, directed by Paolo Licata, tells the story of Rosa Balistreri, a legendary Sicilian folk singer, as she reflects on key moments of her life, her artistic journey and her complex relationship with her daughter.

Anna (June 27)
This biographical drama, by Monica Guerritore, follows a defining night in the life of Anna Magnani as she awaits her Oscar win, while revisiting her emotional and professional memories.
