ABU DHABI (ALETIHAD)
As residents prepare for the Eid Al Fitr holiday, Yas Island is positioning itself as one of Abu Dhabi’s central destinations for family-oriented experiences, combining entertainment, hospitality and cultural programming across its major venues.
From theme parks to waterfront districts, a range of activities is being introduced to attract families and visitors seeking short holiday getaways within the capital.
Stay packages linking hospitality and entertainment remain a key offering this season. Yas Island’s “Stay and Play” packages combine hotel accommodation with access to its major theme parks, including Ferrari World Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, Yas Waterworld Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, Warner Bros. World™ Yas Island, Abu Dhabi and SeaWorld® Yas Island, Abu Dhabi.
The packages also introduce flexible payment options through instalment plans, reflecting a broader shift in tourism toward accessible, bundled experiences.
Across the island’s attractions, Eid programming places a strong emphasis on cultural elements alongside entertainment.
At Ferrari World Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, a five-day programme from March 19 to 23 will feature traditional Ayala performances at the entrance, alongside activities such as calligraphy, henna artistry, Sadu weaving and majlis experiences. The park will also distribute Eid-themed gift bags to younger visitors.
Yas Waterworld Yas Island, Abu Dhabi is set to host a similar programme, combining live entertainment with cultural workshops. Visitors will have access to activities including clay making, calligraphy and traditional performances, alongside interactive spaces reflecting Emirati heritage.
At Warner Bros. World™ Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, cultural programming will be integrated into the park’s entertainment offering, with Ayala performances, falcon interactions and traditional hospitality experiences, including Arabic coffee and dates. The park will also provide themed gift bags for children throughout the Eid period.
SeaWorld® Yas Island, Abu Dhabi will extend its programme from March 20 to 25, offering a similar mix of cultural and family-oriented experiences. Activities include calligraphy, henna, majlis settings and live performances aimed at creating an immersive environment for visitors.
Beyond theme parks, the island’s hospitality sector is introducing seasonal offers aimed at longer stays. W Abu Dhabi – Yas Island is offering Eid packages that include accommodation, daily breakfast and theme park access, alongside dining discounts within the hotel.
Yas Plaza Hotels are also promoting family-focused packages, combining accommodation with shared leisure facilities and access to nearby attractions, reflecting demand for integrated staycation options.
Dining remains a central part of the Eid experience across the island. The WB Abu Dhabi is hosting evening buffet experiences priced at featuring a range of international dishes, with family-oriented entertainment integrated into the dining environment.
At Yas Bay Waterfront, programming will focus on live entertainment and social gatherings. From March 20 to 22, the venue will host a series of performances, including Ayala dancers, Dabke groups and live music acts, alongside interactive cultural activities such as henna and Arabic calligraphy.
Restaurants across the waterfront, including Café Del Mar and several dining venues within the district, are also introducing themed brunches and live entertainment schedules throughout the Eid weekend.
The scale of activity across Yas Island reflects broader trends in Abu Dhabi’s tourism strategy, where destinations are increasingly designed to combine leisure, culture and hospitality within integrated environments.
As families and visitors plan their Eid holidays, the island’s offerings highlight how short-stay experiences are becoming a key part of the capital’s recreational landscape, bringing together entertainment, cultural engagement and social experiences in a single destination.
