From December 12 to 21, Yas Gateway Park transforms into a magical winter wonderland, complete with snow play zones, ice rinks, Santa's Village with a Santa meet and greet, live music, and carnival-style entertainment.
Daniella Wade, a mother of two kids residing in Abu Dhabi, said that she loves spending Christmas with her family in the emirate.
"The weather is so nice here this time of year, my kids love to celebrate with their friends and enjoy the festivities in Abu Dhabi, even when we do not get to go home for the holidays, we get to enjoy the Christmas spirit," Wade told Aletihad.
Snow Abu Dhabi's Winter Wonderland
At Reem Mall from December 12 to 25, Snow Abu Dhabi transforms into a magical Winter Wonderland with festive zones, a huge Christmas tree, and holiday-themed snow attractions.
Visitors can meet Santa in a snowy grotto, enjoy snow slides, rides, and light shows, all while surrounded by real snow in a -2°C setting, without leaving the desert.
Winter Wonderland at The Galleria
Running until December 26, Winter Wonderland offers a 12-metre Christmas tree and festive zones, perfect for kids and adults alike. Visitors can explore fantastical setups filled with seasonal decorations and enjoy holiday photo opportunities and activities.
Tamara Haddad, a resident in Abu Dhabi, said that being far from her family made her appreciate the sense of community in Abu Dhabi.
"I thought it would be hard spending Christmas away from home, but Abu Dhabi has really surprised me. There is so much to do, the markets, decorations, and the events make it feel festive. It feels special in its own way," Haddad told Aletihad.
Al Qana Winter Festival
Al Qana's Winter Festival brings festive cheer to one of Abu Dhabi's most scenic waterfront destinations. The event features dazzling decorations, light tunnels, and festive installations across the promenade, creating the perfect backdrop for winter strolls and holiday selfies. Running until December 31.
Abu Dhabi Mall Winter Village
The winter village at Abu Dhabi Mall, open until January 5, is a great spot to enjoy the holiday festivities, as it brings festive cheer to the heart of the city with twinkling lights, interactions with Santa and his elves, charming pop-up stalls, craft workshops, and live entertainment.
