From London’s West End, “Mary Poppins” will be flying into Abu Dhabi with her magic umbrella for the very first time.

Produced by Cameron Mackintosh and Disney Theatrical Group, the multi award-winning musical will take the stage at Etihad Arena, Yas Island, from March 25 to April 15, 2026, for 26 performances.

Proactiv Entertainment has partnered up with the Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi, and Miral, the leading creator of immersive destinations and experiences in Abu Dhabi, to bring the “supercalifragilisticexpialidocious” show to the UAE.

Based on the stories of PL Travers and the Walt Disney film, the story of the world’s favourite nanny arriving on Cherry Tree Lane is more magical than ever before featuring dazzling choreography, incredible effects and unforgettable songs, such as “A Spoonful of Sugar”, “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious”, “Step in Time”, and “Chim Chim Cher-ee”.

“Mary Poppins” features original music and lyrics by Richard M. Sherman and Robert B. Sherman with new songs and additional music and lyrics by George Stiles and Anthony Drewe.

The book is written by Julian Fellowes and this production is co-created by Cameron Mackintosh. It has orchestrations by William David Brohn and dance and vocal arrangements by George Stiles.

The International Tour is directed by James Powell with choreography recreated by Richard Jones.
