DREAM Concert, the K-pop music phenomenon, is set to take the world by storm, and Abu Dhabi has been announced as one of the stops on its global tour.
The 10-hour-long Korean music spectacular will be staged at Etihad Park on Yas Island.
The event will start at 3pm on Saturday, November 22, and run until 1am the following day.
Fans can look forward to a high-energy extravaganza of chart-topping acts and show-stopping choreography.
Organisers are yet to announce who will headline the festival, but K-pop fans can expect some of the biggest names in the scene to perform at the show. The line-up is expected to be revealed on September 6.
The one-day festival is being organised by Theory Eleven Entertainment, in partnership with the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi and Miral, the leading creator of immersive destinations and experiences in Abu Dhabi.
DREAM Concert has been held every year in South Korea since 1995, and to celebrate its 30th anniversary, the festival is going on a world tour, with Abu Dhabi date marking the first time it has ever been staged in the Middle East.
Sia Farr, CEO of Theory Eleven Entertainment, said, “Hosting the DREAM Concert reflects our commitment to bringing world-class entertainment experiences to Abu Dhabi, perfectly in line with the city’s bold vision of becoming the region’s entertainment capital.
“We are proud to highlight Abu Dhabi as a global hub for live music and culture, while introducing one of K-pop’s most iconic festivals to the Middle East.”
