For the third consecutive year, TRENDS Research and Advisory will participate as an official Knowledge Partner in the upcoming Global Media Congress, which will take place from November 26 to 28, 2024, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the UAE, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of the Presidential Court. The event, organised by ADNEC Group in partnership with the Emirates News Agency (WAM), will be held at the ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi.

TRENDS will showcase its contributions to this global event, which is aimed at fostering dialogue, collaboration, and innovation in the media sector regionally and internationally. The TRENDS pavilion (A20, Hall 9) will feature the launch of a new book, a display of its distinguished research publications, and a series of strategic symposiums, dialogues and panel discussions. These events will host prominent media leaders and experts to explore the future of global media. A dedicated youth session will also aim to empower the next generation of thinkers and innovators.

Artificial intelligence (AI) will be a highlight at the TRENDS pavilion, featuring technologies such as the Echo and Moxie robots, among other advanced tools integrated into its research activities. TRENDS will also sign several cooperation agreements with regional and international media organisations, strengthening its strategic network.

Additionally, it will produce exclusive episodes of its Trending Echoes podcast series from the heart of the Congress, featuring distinguished guests.

Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS Research and Advisory, emphasised the significant role of the Global Media Congress in advancing and envisioning the future of the media sector.

He noted that as a knowledge partner for the third edition, TRENDS would present research studies on various topics, with a strong focus on AI, digital transformation, innovation and sustainability. He stressed the essential role of think tanks and research institutions in forecasting the future of the media sector, understanding its ongoing changes, and identifying the challenges and opportunities it faces.

These efforts, he said, enable content creators, media professionals and stakeholders to make informed decisions and take suitable actions to address challenges and seize opportunities.

Dr Al-Ali described the Global Media Congress as a valuable platform for presenting research insights and meaningful ideas about this vital sector, contributing to shaping the future of global media. He also confirmed that TRENDS is fully prepared to participate in this major media event and will engage in the discussions and dialogues organised during the Congress.

The Global Media Congress is recognised as a premier global platform that brings together experts and thought leaders in the media industry to explore the latest innovations, trends and challenges shaping the future of media at the regional and international levels.
