IHAB AL RIFAI (Al DHAFRA)
Preparations are in full swing for Al Dhafra Camel Festival, held under the patronage of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Al Dhafra Region Municipality is providing logistical support for the camel festival, organised by the Cultural Programs and Heritage Festivals Committee - Abu Dhabi.
Maintenance work is ongoing on the access roads to the festival, alongside facilitating provision of services to camel owners.
The Municipality is decorating the roadsides in addition to spraying the roads with water for dust mitigation.
In cooperation with strategic partners, the Municipality is exerting efforts to maintain the general appearance and cleanliness of the festival site, through awareness campaigns.
The municipality expressed its keenness to partake in all festivals held in Al Dhafra region as part of its social responsibility and to enhance community participation.
Al Dhafra Festival is considered a link between generations and an occasion for reviving heritage. It also serves as an occasion for strengthening the national spirit among younger generations.
A key highlight of the event is the camel beauty competition, shedding light on the role of camels in the UAE’s culture and heritage.
