ABU DHABI (ALETIHAD)

His Highness Sheikh Suroor bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, in his capacity as owner of Maqam International Holding Company, and Yusuff Ali Musaliam Abdul Kader, Chairman of LuLu Group, have signed an agreement to manage and operate a new hypermarket spanning more than 210,000 square feet in Al Shahama, Abu Dhabi.

The project will be a valuable addition to the area, providing a comprehensive shopping destination offering a wide range of products and services to meet the needs of residents of Al Shahama and neighbouring communities, supported by its strategic location and ease of access.

Sunad Real Estate Management, a subsidiary of Maqam International Holding Company, will develop the project, while Benaa Al Mostaqbal Contracting will carry out construction works under the supervision of Bunyan Engineering Consultancy.

The project is scheduled to open in 2027, coinciding with celebrations marking the UAE’s 56th Eid Al Etihad.

Yusuff Ali Musaliam Abdul Kader noted that the project builds on the group’s longstanding cooperative ties and partnerships in Abu Dhabi dating back to 1980, highlighting the emirate’s pivotal role in LuLu Group’s growth and expansion and its contribution to the group’s continued success.
