ADNOC and Burjeel Holdings have expanded healthcare services across the Al Dhafra Region for ADNOC employees, their families and the wider community, according to a statement issued on Tuesday.
The two organisations are also exploring the development of a more integrated healthcare model covering advanced clinical care, occupational health, preventive medicine, wellness, digital health solutions and healthy ageing services, the statement said.
The partnership builds on Burjeel Holdings' operation of Al Dhannah Hospital following its appointment by ADNOC as the hospital's medical operator in 2023.
The proposed healthcare model will focus on preventive and patient-centred care, with the aim of improving health outcomes and patient experience.
“The health and wellbeing of our employees, their families and the communities in which we operate remain a strategic priority,” Khalid Al Hosani, Acting Executive Vice President, Group Business Support at ADNOC, said.
“The partnership with Burjeel Holdings reflects ADNOC’s commitment to providing access to world-class healthcare services, advancing preventive and occupational healthcare, and delivering better health outcomes,” Al Hosani added.
Among the initiatives under consideration is the transformation of ADNOC's Occupational Medical Center into an integrated “One Health Hub”, bringing together occupational health, preventive care and health-promotion programmes.
ADNOC and Burjeel Holdings are also assessing opportunities to expand outpatient and day-surgery capabilities across the Al Dhafra Region, the statement said.
Dr Shamsheer Vayalil, Founder, Chairman and CEO of Burjeel Holdings, said the next phase would broaden the scope of the partnership beyond the operation of a hospital.
“The next phase of our partnership moves beyond operating a hospital to building an integrated healthcare ecosystem for Al Dhafra Region, connecting occupational health, prevention, specialist care, digital health and advanced clinical services around the needs of ADNOC employees, their families and the wider community,” Dr Vayalil said.
