ABU DHABI (ALETIHAD)

PureHealth has announced the expansion of its platform into laboratory operations across the UK, through its Circle Health Group subsidiary, with new integrated diagnostics capabilities strengthening the group’s services across a network of more than 50 hospitals.

Circle Health Group will assume selected UK laboratory operations from Unilabs Limited, including two dedicated hub laboratories in Euston and Cavendish Square, London, supported by a network of fully licensed laboratories across the UK.

Together, the laboratories provide pathology, histopathology, blood sciences, microbiology, and specialist diagnostic services, serving an established base of more than 90 external healthcare clients.

The expansion will utilise the expertise of PureLab, part of PureHealth and the UAE's largest laboratory operator, which manages a network of more than 150 laboratories across the country and processes over 25 million tests annually.

PureLab is supported by advanced automation, AI-enabled diagnostics, and internationally accredited laboratory operations, providing proven clinical, operational, and technological expertise to PureHealth platforms.

Shaista Asif, Group Chief Executive Officer of PureHealth, said: “By utilising PureLab’s proven diagnostics capabilities across Circle Health Group’s leading hospital network, we are creating an integrated model that strengthens every stage of the patient journey, from diagnosis through to treatment.

“As we continue to scale internationally, our focus is not simply on expanding our footprint, but on building connected healthcare ecosystems that combine clinical excellence, operational expertise and innovation to deliver better outcomes for patients.

"As we scale these capabilities internationally, we are also creating opportunities to bring global experience, innovation and clinical insights back into our ecosystem, supporting the continued advancement of care for communities in Abu Dhabi and across the UAE.”

By integrating laboratory services, PureHealth will strengthen oversight of quality, capacity, and turnaround times while enabling closer collaboration between laboratory specialists and clinicians across its hospital network.

Circle Health Group's existing clinical activity provides an established foundation of laboratory volumes from day one, with additional eligible volumes expected to transition over time. Alongside supporting the group’s hospitals, the laboratory network will continue to provide high-quality diagnostic services to its existing external healthcare clients across the UK.

Paul Manning, Chief Executive Officer of Circle Health Group, said: "Integrating diagnostics more closely with our hospitals allows us to deliver a more connected model of care. It strengthens collaboration between clinicians and laboratory specialists, improves operational responsiveness, and provides a strong foundation to support our continued growth while maintaining high-quality services for our external healthcare partners."

The expansion strengthens PureHealth's international healthcare platform by adding complementary capabilities that deepen integration across the care pathway, diversify revenue streams, and support the group's long-term growth strategy.
