The UAE Ministry of Investment and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) have signed a memorandum of understanding to establish the China-UAE Business Advisory Committee, a statement said.
The committee will provide a structured, business-led platform connecting UAE and Chinese companies to identify investment opportunities, explore partnerships and promote direct cooperation between enterprises in the two countries.
The agreement was signed in Beijing by Mohammad Abdulrahman Alhawi, Undersecretary of the UAE Ministry of Investment, and Lin Honghong, Vice Chairwoman of CCPIT.
Yousef Tahnon Al Ali, board member of the Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FCCIUAE) and Vice Chairman of the Umm Al Quwain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, delivered remarks on behalf of the UAE business community during the signing ceremony.
According to the statement, the committee will provide a regular platform for dialogue between UAE and Chinese businesses and investors. It will facilitate information exchange, business matchmaking and direct engagement, while helping companies identify investment opportunities, cooperation projects and potential partners.
The initiative will extend the government-to-government framework guiding bilateral investment cooperation by establishing a dedicated channel for private-sector collaboration, the statement said.
The Ministry of Investment will support the committee within its mandate and connect it with the wider high-level framework for UAE-China investment cooperation. FCCIUAE will lead the committee’s work on the UAE side and serve as the main counterpart to CCPIT.
The ministry will also help convene relevant stakeholders, coordinate across the UAE investment ecosystem and enable businesses and investors to explore opportunities in the country.
“The UAE and China share one of the world’s most dynamic investment partnerships, with nearly 16,000 Chinese companies operating in the UAE,” Alhawi said.
“By connecting the high-level cooperation framework directly to the private sector, we are giving businesses on both sides a lasting channel to identify opportunities, build partnerships and invest with confidence,” he added.
Alhawi said the ministry would work with businesses from the initial exploration of opportunities and help them navigate the UAE’s investment ecosystem through to the completion of transactions.
Lin said CCPIT would act as a bridge between the Chinese and UAE business communities and help convert shared opportunities into tangible partnerships.
“Through the China-UAE Business Advisory Committee, we will provide businesses on both sides with a dedicated platform to exchange insights, identify areas for cooperation and pursue opportunities together,” she said.
The statement said China represented 4.8% of the UAE’s total inward foreign direct investment stock in 2025 and remained the country’s largest global trading partner.
The MoU supports the UAE’s efforts to attract and facilitate investment in high-growth sectors in line with its economic diversification priorities and the UAE National Investment Strategy 2031, the statement added.
