WORLD CAPITALS (WAM)
Gold prices firmed on Thursday as the US dollar and Treasury yields eased.
Spot gold rose 0.5 percent to $4,409.97 per ounce by 0219 GMT after hitting a near one-month low in the previous session.
US gold futures gained 0.9 percent to $4,455.30.
Among other metals, spot silver rose 0.6 percent to $65.74, platinum climbed 0.6 percent to $1,770.88 and palladium firmed 0.6 percent to $1,354.00.
