Aldar has launched The Canopies, a residential community comprising 592 apartments across six mid-rise buildings at Yas Point on Yas Island’s northern shore.
The Canopies is the first residential community to be launched within Yas Point, Aldar’s recently announced Dh6 billion waterfront destination, the developer said in a statement.
The development will offer studios and one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, with private outdoor spaces and layouts designed to connect indoor and outdoor living.
The community will include more than 10,000 square metres of landscaped open space, comprising shaded pathways, gardens, outdoor wellness areas and social spaces.
Residents will have access to two swimming pools with children’s splash pads, two fully equipped gyms, retail and food and beverage outlets.
The development will also feature The Canopy Club, a social and wellness hub comprising a private residents’ lounge, multipurpose rooms, co-working spaces and a dedicated gym. It will include indoor and outdoor areas for yoga, tai chi and fitness, as well as an outdoor kitchen with barbecue facilities, a dining terrace and children’s play areas.
The Canopies will be located within walking distance of Yas Point’s 700-metre waterfront promenade, which will include dining and retail outlets, public parks and the first beach on the northern side of Yas Island.
The wider Yas Point development will combine residential, hospitality, retail, dining, leisure and educational facilities within an integrated masterplan connected to Yas Island’s existing lifestyle and entertainment offerings.
The Canopies is located close to Yas Mall, SeaWorld Abu Dhabi, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi, Yas Waterworld, Yas Links Abu Dhabi and Yas Marina Circuit. The statement also cited the planned Disney Abu Dhabi and Sphere Abu Dhabi among the additions expected to expand the island’s entertainment offering.
The development will have access to Zayed International Airport, Abu Dhabi city and Dubai through the E11 highway.
Units at The Canopies will be available for sale from July 29, Aldar said.
