ABU DHABI (ALETIHAD)

flydubai announced a temporary suspension of flights to and from Dubai International Airport, advising passengers scheduled to travel on March 16 not to proceed to the airport until further notice.

In an operational update issued on Sunday morning, the airline said “flydubai flights to and from Dubai International (DXB) are temporarily suspended.”

The carrier also urged customers booked to travel not to head to the airport until they receive confirmation that their flight will operate.

“Customers booked to travel with us today are advised not to travel to the airport until they have received confirmation that their flight will operate,” the airline said.

The airline added that updates would be provided as more information becomes available and encouraged travellers to monitor operational notifications through its flight status page.

“Customers must regularly check Flight Status and Operational Updates for the latest updates, before heading to the airport,” the airline said.

Passengers were also advised to ensure their contact details remain updated through the Manage Your Booking section in order to receive flight notifications.

The airline emphasised that “the safety of our passengers and crew remains our top priority.”
