Aletihad News Center, part of Abu Dhabi Media Network, the leading media company in the UAE, announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with RT Arabic channel, affiliated with the independent non-profit TV-Novosti organisation.

The agreement aims to strengthen collaboration in media, digital production, and the exchange of expertise between the two parties.

The MoU was signed by Dr. Hamad Al Kaabi, CEO of the Aletihad News Center, and Mazen Youssef, Director of RT Arabic, during the third edition of the Global Media Congress, held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court, from November 26 to 28, 2024, at ADNEC in Abu Dhabi.

The agreement reflects the mutual interest of both parties in delivering media content that caters to the audience’s interests in the UAE and the Russian Federation. The MoU covers several areas of collaboration, including content exchange, audiovisual projects, mutual sharing of media materials and analytical articles, and cooperation in international news coverage, including global media support.

Additionally, the two sides will collaborate on media and digital projects by exchanging media content, including materials published on their respective websites. This cooperation aims to enhance joint news coverage and involves designing and implementing programmes for experience and consultancy exchange to develop professional expertise and enhance the capabilities of media professionals on both sides.

Regarding the agreement, Dr. Hamad Al Kaabi said, “By signing this MoU with RT Arabic channel, we continue to commit to delivering innovative media content that meets audience expectations worldwide. This partnership underscores our dedication to fostering cultural and media dialogue and collaboration with leading media institutions. It contributes to the development of the national media ecosystem, enhancing its specialised capabilities, and expanding the reach of Aletihad News Center’s platforms to a broader Arabic-speaking audience, particularly in the Russian Federation, leveraging RT Arabic’s strong presence in the region.”

For her part, Maya Manna, Director of RT Arabic channel, commented, “I hope this MoU with our colleagues at Aletihad News Center will be a new step in developing media cooperation between Moscow and Abu Dhabi. Notably, readers from the UAE rank among the top five in terms of viewership on our website, www.arabic.rt.com, for the year 2024.”

Notably, the third edition of the Global Media Congress was held under the theme “Vision, Empowerment, Interaction.”

It aims to highlight global media transformations through thought leaders and opinion-makers, foster effective media partnerships, drive innovation, and enhance the role of media in building prosperous and advanced societies.

It also seeks to raise media standards and establish a global benchmark for media excellence.
