VentureOne, a leading Technology Solutions company in the UAE, is showcasing AI71, one of their ventures offering industry-disrupting AI solutions powered by local, open-source AI models, at the GITEX Global 2024 exhibition currently taking place at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
As part of Abu Dhabi's Advanced Technology Research Council (ATRC), VentureOne is at the forefront of driving AI-powered innovations across multiple sectors.
Speaking to Aletihad during the event, Reda Nidhakou, Acting CEO of VentureOne, shared insights into AI71.
"Our role at VentureOne is to take the technologies created at the Technology Innovation Institute (TII) and bring them to market in various forms, whether through licensing agreements or by creating full-fledged ventures. That is exactly what we did with AI71 last year, and we are continuing this model with three other companies this year in cybersecurity, mobility, and agritech," explained Nidhakou.
AI71's development of a legal AI assistant (LAW71) supports professionals by addressing key challenges while ensuring accuracy, reliability, and efficiency in UAE law.
Nidhakou noted that AI71's legal assistant is crucial for legal professionals, offering personalised support to streamline workflows and boost productivity.
By introducing this AI-powered tool, AI71 aims to provide solutions to some of the common challenges faced by the legal community, such as managing large amounts of data and ensuring precision in legal analysis.
In addition, Nidhakou highlighted AI71's role in the UAE's broader AI strategy.
"AI71 is a key component of Abu Dhabi's AI strategy and contributes through the development of AI models, such as the Falcon models series, which are applied to solve specific challenges across sectors. We are building AI-driven solutions that align with the UAE's vision for innovation and technology," he noted.
One of the biggest challenges in today's AI landscape is filtering through the vast number of solutions available and determining which ones provide real value.
Nidhakou explained how AI71 tackles this issue: "With the hype surrounding AI, it is critical to identify which tools are worth adopting. AI71's advisory team works closely with end users to prioritise use cases based on feasibility and impact, ensuring the most beneficial solutions are implemented."
VentureOne is not only focusing on AI71 but is also actively supporting the commercialisation of other groundbreaking ventures.
"We are launching three additional companies this year, focusing on cybersecurity, mobility, and agritech, with more planned for early next year," Nidhakou added.
