Abu Dhabi government entities are showcasing their AI-powered solutions and experiences across diverse sectors at GITEX Global 2024 at Dubai World Trade Centre.

Held under the theme "Towards an AI-Native Government", the event, which kicked off on Monday, will run until Friday.

Led by the Department of Government Enablement (DGE), the delegation includes over 30 government and academic institutions, showcasing AI-powered, data-driven solutions across five key innovation zones: Services & Experiences, Data & Insights, Emerging Technology, Cybersecurity & Digital Trust, and Sustainable Technology.

Marking its 13th year at GITEX, Abu Dhabi showcases AI-powered services and programmes, reinforcing its commitment to innovation while driving excellence.
As part of the Abu Dhabi government, Musaab Mohammad Saleh Hasan, Manager of IT Operations at the Emirates College for Advanced Education (ECAE), shared with Aletihad the key innovations they are showcasing at GITEX 2024.

He said that ECAE's participation at the Abu Dhabi Government Pavilion is aligned with the government's AI-driven vision for the future, stressing its pioneering work in educational technology.

"Our participation is centered around three main clusters," Hasan explained.

"The first cluster is Emerging Technology, where we are showcasing projects related to virtual reality and the metaverse. One of these showcases is 'Risk Venture,' which takes visitors on an immersive journey in the metaverse to explore risk management concepts and terminologies. Another feature is an immersive journey into sustainability."

Their second cluster, Services and Excellence, falls under the Emerging Technology cluster, where they are presenting a digital human assistant.

"This assistant interacts with learners and prospective students, providing information about the college, programmes, and admission requirements. Available 24/7, it mimics a video call experience with a digital assistant, and it supports both Arabic and English. For those who prefer text-based interactions, we also offer a chatbot that performs the same tasks."

ECAE's third cluster, Sustainable Technology, spotlights AI innovations and research by the faculty and graduates.

"We are demonstrating how AI is enhancing the educational journey, including a gamified learning experience for the competencies framework for Abu Dhabi educators and AI tools for teaching and learning."

"Overall, our participation aims to enhance the quality of service for both learners and educators, as the Emirates College for Advanced Education is a leader in training teachers and preparing them for the future of education," he added.
