DUBAI (ALETIHAD) 

His Excellency Dr. Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, on Tuesday launched the ministry's new and enhanced interactive website at 44th edition of GITEX Global. The new digital platform provides investors, companies and individuals with advanced search tools in several languages including a live customer assistance service to make the user experience smoother and accessing services easier.

His Excellency announced the launch during a tour at GITEX Global, where he was accompanied by a delegation on the ministry’s stand. During the tour, Dr. Al Jaber visited several stands of governmental and private entities, including Emirates Development Bank, Abu Dhabi Government, Dubai Government, Etisalat, Du, Nvidia, and Huawei.

His Excellency was briefed on some of the entities’ digital solutions, projects and initiatives in areas like data analytics, artificial intelligence, and digital empowerment.

Part of the tour, His Excellency was shown the demo version of the ministry’s transformational project: The UAE integrated Industrial dashboard “Aloum Al Senaa” which aims to empower decisionmakers through data collection and analysis. The project is designed to support the growth and competitiveness of the industrial sector by showcasing investment opportunities and helping leaders to make informed decisions.

At the 44th edition of GITEX Global, the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT) is showcasing its online and smart services that are designed to support the growth and competitiveness of the industrial and technological sectors in line with the National Strategy for Industry and Advanced Technology (Operation 300bn). Additionally, the ministry is hosting three workshops focusing on AI, cybersecurity, compliance and strategies for success in an evolving business environment.

Advanced Technology Adoption

Omar Al Suwaidi, Undersecretary of Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, said: “The ministry's participation in GITEX Global is in line with the objectives of the National Strategy for Industry and Advanced Technology, which prioritises innovation, the adoption of advanced technology and digitalising the services provided to investors, companies and individuals to enhance the competitiveness of local companies on a regional and international level.

“Under MoIAT’s strategic direction to promote sustainable industrial growth, the ministry focuses on improving the customer experience and providing data and information to assist in decision making, particularly relating to digital transformation. MoIAT is committed to providing services that enhance the investor and customer journey to facilitate a business-friendly environment and attract more foreign investments.”

He added: “Through information and advanced search tools, The ministry’s new website will help stakeholders to access services flexibly, quicker and more easily. This is in line with the Ministry’s strategic efforts to provide the highest levels of proactivity and efficiency. ”
