Organisations in the UAE are undergoing a significant digital transformation as they actively embrace artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance IT teams’ ability to detect and respond quickly to cyber attacks.

According to a recent study by Veritas Technologies, a global leader in secure multi-cloud data resilience, 45% of organisations in the UAE plan to accelerate their investments in AI over the next year, recognising the vital role it plays in enhancing data security and regulatory compliance.

“Increasing threats such as ransomware and data breaches are prompting UAE organisations to take strong steps, supported by government investment and interest, to turn to AI as a key enabler of cyber resilience and data compliance,” said Johnny Karam, General Manager and Regional Vice President, Emerging Markets, Veritas Technologies.

Recent research has shown that the number of organisations that consider data security a key threat to their business is increasing, prompting them to adopt AI not only to enhance cybersecurity but also to meet the growing demands of regulatory frameworks.
