The UAE is a popular destination for international tourists, according to the Travel and Tour World website, thanks to its blend of traditional culture and modern facilities in cities like Dubai and Abu Dhabi, known globally for landmarks like the Burj Khalifa and the Louvre Abu Dhabi Museum.

The Travel and Tour World website noted that the UAE has solidified its status as a leading player in the global tourism sector due to its bold approach in broadening and developing its tourism sector. Prominent cities like Dubai and Abu Dhabi charm tourists with their renowned landmarks, opulent offerings, and cutting-edge attractions, with a projected 63.32% increase in tourist arrivals by 2029 in the UAE.

According to the website, tourism in the UAE is now a key driver of the future economy, leading the shift towards a new economic model, facilitating the desired economic diversification, and consistently growing with regional and international success. 

Global tourism statistics over the last two years show the outstanding performance of UAE tourism despite worldwide obstacles, surpassing pre-pandemic levels.

International organisations in the tourism industry attest to the UAE’s successful recovery from the pandemic by drawing in tourists from various nations across the globe in a quick time frame.

The website stressed that the tourism strategy in the UAE concentrates on shopping festivals, excellent hospitality, and smooth travel, as well as luxury experiences, and cutting-edge attractions like the newly launched Museum of the Future in Dubai.

The data presented by Travel and Tour World website show that in the period spanning from January to April 2024, Dubai welcomed 6.68 million international tourists, showing an 11% growth from the previous year during the same timeframe.

In 2023, the Emirate of Dubai witnessed a 22% increase in Indian tourists, hitting 2.2 million visitors –12% higher than the previous record of 1.97 million in 2019. A total of 1.57 million visitors from Oman made up the second largest group of visitors.

The United Kingdom came closely behind with 1.25 million people visitors, followed by 910,000 from Russia, according to the Travel and Tour World website.
