ABU DHABI (ALETIHAD)

Majid, part of Abu Dhabi Media, the leading media company in the UAE, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Trends Research and Advisory.

The agreement aims to strengthen research and knowledge collaboration while fostering scientific and cultural awareness among children.

The MoU was signed during the third edition of the Global Media Congress, held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court, from November 26 to 28, 2024, at ADNEC, Abu Dhabi.

It was signed by Talib Saeed Al Zaabi, Chief Support Service Officer at Abu Dhabi Media, and Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of Trends.

The agreement underscores the shared commitment of both entities to advancing research efforts and leveraging them to benefit society and support decision-makers and policymakers.

It also aims to establish a framework for collaboration in knowledge exchange, joint studies, and enhanced communication to achieve common research objectives.

Key areas of collaboration include launching the “Young Researcher” project, designed to enhance children’s scientific and cultural awareness.

This initiative involves the production of a storybook and short educational videos to help children develop skills in research and learning.

The MoU also includes the exchange of knowledge and expertise, joint research projects, organisation of conferences, seminars, and research workshops, as well as expanding local and international networking with partners.

Al-Zaabi said, “This MoU with Trends Research and Consulting is part of our efforts to enhance institutional collaboration and knowledge exchange in research and education. It aligns with our shared vision of promoting scientific and cultural awareness among children, reinforcing Abu Dhabi Media’s commitment to empowering future generations and laying the foundation for a knowledge-driven society that supports the UAE’s aspirations for a sustainable future.”

Director of Women and Children’s Content at Abu Dhabi Media, Nisreen Fakher, remarked, “This partnership with Trends demonstrates our commitment to advancing research collaboration and launching initiatives that align with our shared goals of developing media and educational content. We believe this collaboration will help deliver educational and inspiring content to nurture children’s skills and broaden their horizons in research and learning.”

Dr. Al-Ali expressed his pride in the agreement with Majid, calling it a significant step in promoting scientific and cultural awareness among the younger generation.

He said, “Through the ‘Young Researcher’ project, we aim to instil a love for research and knowledge in children in a creative and engaging way, as we believe that investing in knowledge begins at the early stages of life.”

Dr. Al-Ali emphasised that this partnership reflects Trends’ dedication to developing tools that prepare a future-ready generation equipped with science and knowledge.

Elyazia Al-Hosani, Head of Media Communications at Trends, added, “We are honoured to announce the launch of the ‘Young Researcher’ project in collaboration with Majid. This pioneering initiative aims to inspire curiosity and critical thinking in children, fostering a new generation of researchers and innovators prepared to face future challenges.”

She also thanked the team at Majid for their fruitful partnership and continuous support for innovation and excellence.

This MoU marks the second agreement signed by Abu Dhabi Media during its participation in this year’s Global Media Congress, following an earlier MoU with RT Arabic to enhance collaboration in media and digital production.

Both agreements highlight Abu Dhabi Media’s commitment to strengthening partnerships with research and media institutions to develop a comprehensive national media ecosystem that supports the UAE’s goal of becoming a global hub for media innovation.
